Need help for the beeeeeeeeeeeeeep!

99 XP, 951:

It was running fine all day and suddenly stopped. It beeps twice when I put the lanyard on, and then I get one long beep. Troubleshooting in the manual indicates that it was overheating, but it did it when cooled also. I put in a new temp sensor, but I still get the one long beep when I try to start it. The 5 fuses by the MPEM and the one in the electrical box are all fine.

Where do I look next?

have you checked the wire for breaks in the wire coating have you tried to fire it off with out the sensor hooked up?

I get the same beep when the sensor is not hooked up. The tech at the dealership where I bought the new sensor told me it would do that.

I'm planning to check the wire for breaks tonight after work. If I test the line with a multimeter would I have to pull it from the connector in the MPEM?
