Water in Engine

I assume your engine is flooded with water.

The engine has no drain plug. Pull the spark plugs, place an old rag over the spark plug holes and turn the engine over a few times. This will get rid of most or the water. Spray some fogging oil down the spark plug holes, and turn it over a few more times.

Pour a little premix down the spark plug holes, any premix is o.k., like weed eater, chain saw. Replace the spark plugs, start the ski and let it run for a few minutes. If the ski is out of the water connect it to a garden hose, after you have started the ski.

is there no drain plug for the crank because we have done all that so should we just take it out to the water and run it

No drain plug on the crank....the only way to drain is the method described above. If you have already cranked it with the plugs out then run it on the trailer or take it to the lake. Either method will burn the water in the engine.

There is no engine drain plug. If you have all the water out of the engine go ahead and start it. You don't need to take the ski out of the water.

In my 93 GTX's there are TWO very small drain plugs (DP) on the bottom of the crankcase (CC), on the carb side of the CC. I unscrewed them to dispel water several weeks AFTER my engine ingested water.

It was a hassle to get to them, but this Shade Tree mechanic was able to do it, so, if you have them, go do it.

If you want to ensure whether or not your Doo has DP's, spend a meager dozen bucks and download the manual on this site or if your don't have the disposable moola e-mail me and I will tell you.
