I can't seem to find a cross chart for Interstate battery's. I need one for my 97 XP and the wife's 97 GSI. Can any body help me out, thank you, Rob

Wow, that's crazy expensive. I get mine at advance auto, you can order online, free shipping over $75, and you can Google for ridiculous coupons. The last coupon I used was $50 off an order of $150 or more. I also have an advance right around the corner for any warranty issues.

I have advanced by my house also, I'm calling there now.

Just google for the coupon codes. Retailmenot usually has them. Here's $50 off $175 HUGE50 The battery lists for $92 so total with $20 in cores your at $203, then less $50, then another $20 after you give your cores you're OTD for $67 a battery(before tax).

OR (better yet)

Do 2 separate orders for each battery and use HUGE30 for $30 off a $90 order and after cores (before tax) you're at $62 per battery. This is the kind of deals I love to manipulate to see how cheap I can get the same item, shipped.

You can have it shipped for free, the guys at my local AA told me to order online as the one they had was a year old dated on the box. He then pulled it and marked it damaged and sent it back so he could get a fresh one for the store, LOL. They always know the in's and out's to get the customer the best deal. I don't know how they make money with the crazy coupons they advertise out there.

I wasn't trying to dodge your question, since you specifically asked about Interstate batteries I answered your question. That being said there are better deals on batteries, I got my last battery from AutoZone, a sealed gelcel, glass mat battery, I have also used Sears DieHard, and Batteries Plus with a coupon I got at the boat show. All good batteries.

Actually I've never owned an Interstate battery, so I can't comment about the reliability.

I have actually had pretty good luck with this sealed AGM battery. 52 bucks shipped.

Put it in about 1 year ago now and have had zero problems. Just checked it yesterday and still had 12.5V after sitting on a shelf in my garage since October.

Krispy I've been running that battery and eBay Zipp batteries which are the same. 52$ shipped and they have been great for 2 seasons

Long live the 2 stroke Seadoo!

Sorry Lou, didn't mean to step on your toes. Honestly I never saw the word interstate, DOH! Guess I should have read closer. I will say the one new interstate battery I had in a vehicle was a POS and I viewed to never own another.

Dan, whats the warranty on the battery from AA? I tend to agree with you that the convienence of a local AA is key if replacement under warranty is necessary. Nice find on the coupons - I look for them for all my purchases from AA.

The battery carries a 1 year warranty. Not the best but it beats a sharp stick in the eye.

To each their own, I can understand if you have the store right around the corner (part of the reason I use interstate)....but I personally dont want a wrecked weekend over a battery or have to deal with hoping it fails so I get a fresh one before the warranty expires.

I used to do that with Walmart batteries but I was sick of having them fail at the worst moment.

I am a diehard interstate guy personally. The list in the link above is retail price. I pay about $60 locally with tax. I buy them from a ma and pa battery store and they carry a bunch of cheaper/chinese brands and they said they are built at the same factory as Yuasa and they use the best quality materials.

I switched over a few years ago and have yet to see one die in its first year. But then again I use the optimate and my batteries never see freezing weather.

I'm a interstate guy also, have two in my boat, wife's Cadillac, and in my suburban, and they have never let me down. I was just wondering what everbody else used. Thank you again to Lou for the link. You guys on here are the best!!!

I've got three of the Advance Auto Parts MagnaPower batteries. One came in one of the skis I purchased over two years ago and it's still going strong. The other two will be 2 yrs old here in April and May. All are still going strong and as a big added bonus, they're made in the USA! In my book, that's a huge plus!

I think they switched to chinese crap over the summer...I swear someone on here posted it. I could be wrong.

I got one from advance auto today. It says made in the USA on the box! Not sure how old is it though. Thanks for the buying tips. I found a coupon online and ordered it online. Then picked it up locally. I used the $40 off $110 coupon. I added 3 two packs of shop towels to the order to get to $110. So after I return the core, it will cost $62 and I got 6 rolls of shop towels too. (almost $14 worth of towels) Plus tax of course.

The date code should be on the box I think. From what I found they're still made here. Post a pic of the label on the battery if you can. Here's mine that I bought I'm May.

That's the exact same battery I bought at Auto Zone.

I tell ya, when the interstate guy comes around here to deliver an order, I'm shocked at the way he throws those batteries around while handling them. I'm pretty sure the two or three bad ones we return over the summer are broken inside!
