Hey Folks... need some advice.... I'm currently selling my 1996 speedster with twin 85hp.... The only reason for selling... is its an absolute pig on fuel. I love everything else about it! I need a boat that can get me out of the water wake boarding... 6'5 240lbs... but is great on fuel! Top speed could care less! Only 15 footers....as i tow it behind my larger boat! Any feedback would be awesome!

I think you need to step up to a newer 4 stroke Speedster 150. All the older 2 strokes will have the same problem as your 96. To get the power you need, you need a twin engine on the older boats, that means tons of fuel. I think a 2004 and up Speedster 150 would do the trick.

So.... I guess the next question is 155hp,215 or 255.... what the fuel difference between them.... anyone know? because if its not that significant i will go with the best deal. I appreciate input.... want this next boat for years to come!

I am a speed freak and would have to go with the 255. But it is personal preference I think. I would think the 155 would work for you, but havent personally been on one. If you dont mind doing the supercharger rebuild yourself, then I would go that route. If you dont want to do the maintenance and paying the dealer is a problem, then the 155 is a better choice.
