About 2 weeks ago we purchased our first ski's '98 GSX and a '01 XP. the GSX LTD is a rocket unlike the XP which is more of a dog out of the hole. Something wasn't right about the XP but i think i found it. Here is a pic of the worst blade of the impeller and a chunk of stator missing. My feeler gauges are at work but you can see light easily between the impeller and the wear ring also unlike the GSX.
I called the local seadoo shop and they do have a wear ring but do not do impeller exchanges/repair. I am going to take the pump out myself what should i be looking at for parts as far as bearings and seals? Should i buy the rebuild kit with all the bearings or wait to check them out better? Where should i get the seals/ bearings? Looks like the stator is part of the one shell maybe need to shop for a used one also?
