Ok
So after spending 3733930 hours on repairing a MPEM. I have to admit its hard to get too much info but this is what I have come up with and need people to tell me if my ideas are crazy or not
I have learned how to remove the potting mix, and I understand that 99% of the time a diode is to blame for the 5 amp fuse blowing. Here are my ideas
1) Can't I just take it to a circuit board repair shop or a computer shop to have them copy it and make a new one?
2) Is it possible to just run 2 mpem's on my boat, I figure that the neutral safety switch won't work. It makes no sense that 2 mpems for a 657x would be cheaper then one for a speedster
3) Also after repairing the diode , how do I reseal the board?
4) Since I don't really have an MPEM its more of just a fuseblock can I bypass it?
I have read so many horror stories and it's a shame that so many people are stranded due to this board and its cost. The hard part to swallow is the board has about 50 dollars worth of parts on it, and yet it is so expensive.
