motor swap 650 to 717

my 95 spx motor blew(650) but i have a 717 will the electronics work?i mean i know the motor will bolt up but what about the electronics work?is the trimming curve the same?thanks for any help:bigear:

You will need the 720 electronics. (cdi/coil) Also... unless you install a rev-limiter with a higher RPM... you may not get much from the swap. The 650 engine has a 6500 red-line, and the 720 has a 7000 RPM red-line.

I am doing the same thing. If I use the electonics from my 657 how would I put a diffenent rev-limiter to get more rpms.
