well i did tape the mirror but when i took everything apart one of the nuts that holds the base and mirror to hull came off and is rattling inside so i have to take the mirror off to put nut back inplace, ill soak it in hot water
ok got it figured out with alittle help from above. so i soaked the mirror/housing in hot water for like 15min and the mirror itself with alittle prying just pops off (dont pry to hard or you will break mirror, butter knife worked for me). looks like they used a silicone glue. with the mirror off the plate this gives you access to the screws that holds the black adjustable plate the mirror itself sits on in the housing and now you can fully disassemble. hope this helps other people.
Heres the pics i wanted to post to help people take the mirror apart. you have to soak whole mirror in really hot water for like 15-30mins then you can pry off mirror. i also did a before and after pic of paint.
