*Long story* Skip to the bold if you want the main question:
So the night before last I finally pulled out my XP from the garage it had been hibernating in during the resto, hooked it to the truck and let it sit outside overnight, I woke up yesterday and drove into work before the sun had come up, as per the usual.
I worked through the day and finally was able to leave work about 4PM yesterday afternoon. Before I pull of with a trailer I walk around it and give a quick inspection to the tires and the tie down strap, bow hook, and wiring connection. All looked good, however there was a wet spot on my cover just over the fuel selector valve.
I decided to drive on to the lake anyway and have a closer look when I got there.
I pulled the cover off, opened the hood and removed the storage bin, I found the leak coming from a fuel line attached to the fuel selector valve.
Knowing there shouldn't be enough pressure in the fuel tank to cause such a leak I opened the gas cap, a release of pressure occured and the leak stopped. I tightened the hose clamps on the selector valve and lifted off the seat to aid in venting the bilge.
I ended up finding 1-2 cups of fuel had leaked out and accumulated near the bailer tubes throughout the day!
So I have a problem with pressure in the fuel tank, following the vent line I see two outlets, one just below the rub rail and one just under the hood. Which one needs to be replaced? Or can they just be cleaned? How do I check for proper function? I do have a pop-off tester....
Thanks for the help!
