Looking at a 2006 Seadoo Utopia 205. I think this is the first year with twin engines..like the NA 155s, is there anything one should know about these boats? I've heard about sticky levers/throttle controls. Anything else?
Also, any stab at what reasonable pricing should be? Its has around 90 hrs

Hi Steve01935, I bought a 2006 Seadoo 205 Utpoia SE over the fall of 2009, never got a chance to test drive it, Tried it out last week both Saturday and sunday and had a blast , had a learning experience or two, maybe three, but so far overall great experience. The guy I bought it from had all his paper work from the service dealer in order and had everything just mint on the boat, paid 19k -40 hours on it. I do have the throttle/shifter problem where it sticks!! what a pain, almost smashed up someones four winns because of it!!
its ok going from neutral to forward, but i cant get it to go out of reverse to neutral without using two hands to pull on it. when it was on the trailer when i looked at it it moved freely and very, very easliy, even today it still does, when its out of the water, but when its in the water she sticks like glue. I have a softball tournamnet this weekend so i cant try it this weekend , but next weekend im going to lube up all the linkage below to see if that makes a diference? The biggest thing i learned is , she's no PROP boat! it moves right away, took some getting used too ,still not totally comfortable, but once i get some more hours on her i will have it figured out. Fast Boat! lots o fun! I have 4 kids and they could stay on it all day , tubing, Kneeboarding, or burning up Dads gas! Maybe someone can assist us on the throttle sticking

Make sure your throttle is all the way down before shifting from R/N/F...of course, this may have nothing to do with your "sticky" situation just something I have noticed on my little sportster..
