have you thought about repairing the crack
The previous owner of my 96 had "attempted" to cover up hull damage. The first time I had it out on the lake the lower hull near the top front opened up a dime sized hole and a spider web of cracks.
I bought a fiberglass repair kit from Walmart for less than $15. Just followed those directions. Put that mesh on the hole and cracks, and then the put on the bonding stuff which hardened like cement. Sanded and applied a second coat the next day. Sanded and painted with spray paint.
Rode it on the lake for a weeks vacation and it's still good as new. Well considering it's a 96. Great fix for less than $20.
