One of the motors is locked up and want to know if it's cheaper to have the cylinders honed and replace the pistons etc or just get a whole new top end and replace?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Max

sinerio...

lets say, that the bearings on the crank assy are good and no "heat" spots on the rods, then yeah...definetly worth honing/boring and replacing the pistons.

Get a WSM complete topend assy for around 150 buks, and a "hone" is around 10 buks, where a "bore" is at most 75 buks per cylinder..

Where can I get specs on a WSM topend? (Website or Phone #)

Thanks

Until you tear into the motor you probabily won't know what you will need.

:agree: Tear it down! How do you know it only needs a top end? What locked up the engine?
You will have to do a complete rebuild.
