Buried down below cover, tools, and other miscellaneous debris is the Doo. Got it in my auto repair shop, tucked into a nook. She's setting on a couple old scrap tires so it's easier to reach over inside than when sitting on the trailer.
Carbon ring, new driveshaft boot installed but I don't want to install jet pump until I get the rebuild supercharger and an aftermarket bilge pump back in.
Still got 6 weeks before I will be riding, but I'm beginning to get antsy that I may have to devote a few evening or weekend hours to hustle upIMG_20190313_080225111.jpga

Nice ride. Going to be a fun boat. Don't mean to scare you, but if it's pre-07, it likely has hollow exhaust valves, which sometimes snap off while you're riding. Not sure how common it is, but definitely something to watch out for. If you ever pull the head, def. replace the exhaust valves for peace of mind. You can pull the head with engine in the boat.

May pop a valve head next time out, but I'm going to risk it for another year at least. From what I've read it's caused by rust forming on stems during extended storage periods. Here in AR we're really not out of commission all that long.

I bought the supercharger kit with tools included, had I paid attention to prices for an aftermarket rebuild, that's the way I would have went. Not that hard or high tech, but it's more intense than I care for when the reman would've been no more than the kit and tools.
I did install a bilge pump with auto switch while the rear of engine compartment was out. I've now got it all but together in the engine compartment and ready to pick it back up on stands and re-install jet assy. We replaced the carbon ring and rubber boot while the supercharger was out.

Last step will be cleaning the nasty, water deposit spotted biach up:oops: I've NEVER enjoyed detail work.

I bought it with a pretty standard duty trailer, really thinking I'm going to modify so it has a removable/swing-away tongue..

Just get the vinegar out to battle the water spots. Usually a 50/50 mixture with water works fine and pure for the real heavy bastards.
