I am somewhat short. Actually not short, just very short legs. I find it sometimes is a pain to climb back onto the boat out of the water. Anyone else have problems with the short ladder? I thought I saw somewhere that there was a longer replacement, but can't seem to find it now. Anyone have any idea how to get a longer one?

Without spending an arm and a leg, you can go by West Marine and get an inexpensive boarding ladder. I bought one for my wife last year, her legs short challenged too.

What I tried to get her to do though is, if you notice just above the swim platform, there is a handle. IF you can reach the handle and pull your weight straight up and not lean out while doing it, it's so much simplier getting up....

But, try West Marine.

Thanks, does it just swap out with the original hardware? I do exactly what you say, but i have this fear that handle is gonna rip out someday.

Handle...

The handle is designed to pull downward. If you try to pull your self up by pushing yourself outward, then yes, it'll break.

In climbing into a boat, you have to keep your weight in line perpendicular to the waters surface. If you lean out any at all while climbing in, your fighting yourself.

No, the ladder does not attach where your present one is now. It's a hang over the side latter. You'll put it on the side of the transom of the boat hull. BUt, if your only option is to tear up a part of your boat, the over the side latter is a very nice addition to the boat for eas of getting back in.....
