Loctite 518

Funny little thing about the 787. They seem to call out Loctite 518 (P/N 293800038). I have looked around and no one carries it locally. Autozone discontinued carrying it. You can buy it online for a pretty penny.

This product is an anaerobic gasket maker used for one bolt during the install of the exhaust. Permatex makes this also as P/N 51813. Found it cheap on Amazon for 17.30 shipped.

Maybe someone else out there has other options but I didn't find reference to this in a search.

autozone carries the permatex version which is what i bought and is the same stuff.

If it's for the "O" ring on the pump cone I just use RTV sealer.

The Permatex 518XX is the same stuff, Pep Boys etc.... carries it.

If it's for the exhaust mani then you need to use something as that bolt enters a water jacket
