Dear all,
I want to ask a question regarding lifting our Watercraft.
Actually I'm lifting it with normal strap going from one side to the other, from my distributor I've seen a sling that attach on the side here photo:

I asked for the price and he told me 500€, that is really expensive...
I've looked on ebay.com and I found it at 230usd approx...

What is your suggestion? continue to use the normal strap or buy this expensive sling?

Thanks in advance!

If you don't absolutely have to have it don't buy it. I use a regular tow strap and the bucket on my tractor to lift/transfer skis to trailers/ stands.

just using regular straps is a little dangerous, they tend to slide up the nose if you are not very careful in your placement, then you end up getting the strap stuck underneath and fighting with it to get it out. the lift slings are nice and work great, I use them very frequently. make sure you get a 1000lb version, heavy duty and well made, the 1500lb is overkill and a little bulky, imo. the ebay ones are good, I have a couple, they only cost around $108 USD shipped on ebay. just search "1000 seadoo sling".

2 x500 kg straps cost 94 dollars in Australia. In the U.S. they would be a lot less. These are certified for commercial use.I would do the math and save a lot of money

Mate.Postage would cost you 50 dollars or more.Go to a web site that does supplies for forklift or similar sites. It will save you heaps.Even truck straps rated at 2.5 ton are only 30 dollars. And that is is in oz.And we are expensive .Look local mate.Trucking industry..Save you heaps

Now i'm using normal strap, like you told for truck...
The only complicated things with normal strap is that I need to go over with the watercraft an positioning it under the hull before lifting it.
the best think for this straps: is_900.JPG
is that you can place it easily on the hull border and lift it....
