Ill post more pictures tonight. I did need an adapter but i just took it off my old bmx bike lol

NICE! Yeah just let me know what's needed. That's the ONE thing I hate about seadoo's! It's just a PITA and not intuitive for me. Guess I grew up riding yammies and they already have a finger throttle.

LOL finger throttle!!!

I just couldn't let it go tonight. So wandered out to the garage to take a look more how the throttle was setup......then the wheels started turning after you mentioned the bike stuff( the adjuster on the brake lever). Wandered upstairs where my wife has a bike she uses on a trainer and literally no where else. Took the right brake lever off and wandered to the garage. Disassembled my throttle and hooked this one up. Adjusted my throttle at the carbs a little to give it more play.....bingo! Going to try and start it tomorrow and see if is adjusted in enough not to take off. HAH! if it works I'll shave down the stock thumb throttle to use as a spacer and get a little black spacer to make it look flush. Should look decent when done and cost me all of nothing.

Since her bike was a cheapie one it's plastic, which will be fantastic for a water environment. :)

LOL Hell Yeah! I cut the plastic and metal piece off of the cable and just inserted it into the adapter

Works good right? And yes those are schwinn grips on my ski. They go with my paint though lol

Yeah I haven't cut those parts off yet as I wanted t make sure it'd work before the point of no return. Hah!

I love this branch of the thread, but I will never be able to find it again. If possible, it would be great if one of the mods could break out the finger throttle stuff into another thread.

Um, bookmark it to you favorites in your browser? Subscribe to it so you can look under "My posts". Email yourself a link, put that in a special folder in your email that you create. There are many ways to remember the thread.

Even though the "after" isn't the final version yet, its still fun to see some progress.

When I bought them: IMG_20140324_123835_056.jpgIMG_20140324_123853_353.jpg

Shot this last night at the lake. it still needs some cleaning up, the hood and seat need the most work.

Damn 4 hours from me
If you think that's nice check out pics of torch lake michigan. I was at my in laws place there last week. It's like the Caribbean. Lake is 2.5 miles wide by 19 miles long. It's 300 miles from me and you are only another 30 from me

yes !
I'm an active participant in 3 forums, this is one of them, what I did was make a folder called "good threads" in my bookmarks bar, which is easy to set up in chrome or probably any browser, I sub cat those into ski/sports/misc and just stack them there, i probably have 100 of them maybe more. that way when I need to go back to "that thread about science fiction books that was awesome" I know just where to look, and its right there even though it might take 20 seconds to find it.

ps, love the finger throttle spinoff... (big fan of the FT) I can't imagine going back to the thumb

some side notes:

suke: love the winch on the wall in the background, I installed mine (with your tips) and its awesome !

nick: all that gloss black give's me a woody...

ashr8 dammmmmmmm... that's a beauuuutiful fkn ski.... ! I mean seriously... I'd rather look at that than the Texas BBQ commercial. And that's saying something, if I was in your garage I'd have my phone out taking about 8 pic's.

Yup! I love it!! I can normally man handle my XP, but the first foot or so off the trailer, especially when the bunks are wet, suck! The winch is fantastic for that.

my buddy, has two RXP's, SWEARS by his trailer bunk sliders, says he can slide a 4 stroke off the trailer by hand with one solid pull half and it goes half way onto the stand (which has silicone spray) I think i'm going to try it on one of my bunks and see how it goes because the first foot for me is also a b1tch, even with the dam winch, it moves like 1" at a time.
