The Lanyard keeps falling off on my seadoo when riding. Just curious if anyone else has had this problem

Machine specs:

1996 sea-doo SPX

attached is a picture of the kill switch. I'm not sure if it is stock or not. Any help would be grateful

Since it's a kill switch, you should be able to get a generic lanyard for that.

Lou's point is, being a 96 it is not a programmed key. So buy a replacement as they are super cheap. If it stays on it was the key, still comes off you need a switch.

Try putting zip tie around base of landyard
They get soft and do not put pressure enough to hold button down.

Or try to unscrew kill switch a little. It puts less resistance on landyard to pop off for no reason.........

Otherwise a new landyard will fix issue.
Look for a NON DESS type. They are ~10-15 bucks

Wrap a small piece of electrical tape around the inside of the lanyard.Makes it almost too snug, but won't come loose. It's easy to trim the tape after putting it inside and you can't even tell it's there. As a bonus it's completely free.
