Hi there,
Just bought a 92 seadoo and would like some expert advise what to check for before I start riding it....

Also I am trying to figure out what the gas cap looking thing is on the port side of the seadoo.. It's in the same place as the gas cap but on the left "port" side... anyone know what that is for ???

How long has it been sitting? If was running last season, and properly winterized, then just slap in some new pugs... check the fuel and oil, and go ride.

If it's been sitting.... then go over the oil system, check the oil in the jet pump, and grease the drive shaft seal, and PTO.

No idea. That's not stock. Post up a pic.

On second thought... you posted 2 years... and on the XP, that was a model break. The 93 XP is the first of the X4 hulls, and in that case... the "Fuel cap" on the left side is the trim control.

Tks for the info... Seado was running last year so I will change plugs and go ride...

The so called "trim" adjustment could be but I also have a VTS button on my handle bar too..

same thing ????

I am at work so don't have a pic today.

my 94 xp has that. its the variable trim system(vts). the little green thing on the trim, gas cap looking this(at least its green for me), shows you where the trim is at. The trim is a beautiful thing on the older xp's.

Note: DO NOT try to move the little trim piece without pressing the button.

im guessing this is the vts button your talking about?

gottca now... I wondered what that little tab was on the left looking gas cap...

But my 93 has the start down beside where you pu the key.. not sure why they split them up like that...

tks.
