Jet Pump Resovoir O-Ring

I'm changing the oil for the jet pump (97 GSX) 787. When I took the cone off I noticed the O-Ring was pretty loose. When I try to put the cone back on the O-Ring pinches out the side. Tried vasceline, no help. I can't find a new O-ring locally and was hoping to get the ski in the water for this weekend. How important is the O-Ring? I have Permatex Blue RTV Silicone Gasket Maker (80022) which I assume is similiar to the Locktite that is called for in the manual. If I seal the cone to the housing with the Permatex would that be adequate to run the ski until I order the O-ring?

Also what is the purpose of the 2 small o-rings on the top of the nozzle?
 
O Ring

You definately do need this O ring, I checked with my local dealer and he wanted $8.00 and didn't have one anyway.

I work at an automobile dealership and found one that fits there, I think it fit somewhere on a Volvo.

Most larger autoparts stores like Car Quest, NAPA, have a large assortment of O rings, you might check there.
