These impeller cones, the ones that stop that awful rattle of the impeller thrust, do they work?
I've got the 99 gtx LTD and my impeller rattles like buggery on the trailer and at idle but not in the water under revs. Does the spring inside go 'limp after a while?
And also any of you folks in the US got an idea of 1,2,3 in pwc sales?just wanna know. Cheers.

yeah, like anything else, it/they could wear out. What you mean, the 1,2,3,..?

From what I have been told and what I have read, the anti rattle comes do work and they are pretty cheep and easy to install, I am thinking about getting one for my ski as the rattle when out of the water is pretty annoying and loud.

I also do not know what you mean by this:confused:

Thanks guys. What I mean is who finished 1st, 2nd , 3rd out of sales for pwc in the States last year? Out of Seadoo/Bombadier, Yamaha and Kawasaki.

The anti-rattle cone will not stop the impeller rattle when running the Sea-Doo out of the water. That noise is from the radial looseness in the splines on the driveshaft and impeller. The noise that the anti-rattle cone addresses is the knocking noise that you get from the Sea-Doo when it is idling too slow in the water. This noise emanates from the fore & aft movement of the impeller and in reality, the anti-rattle cone is not necessary if your idle speed is set to specs. If you want to reduce the out of water impeller rattle, just make sure that you grease the splines liberally. Otherwise, it's just a normal rattle that is common on all PWCs, especially if you have an aftermarket impeller installed.
