Is this supposed to be for a hull fitting?

I have a 230 Challenger SE. Just forward of the starboard jet intake there is what looks like a rubber plug about 2 inches across. Is this supposed to be here? Is this from a hull repair?

I have photos if you would like me to e-mail them. Can't seem to upload them here.

I have no clue, but I am guessing that doesnt look stock. Do you have a depth finder?

Oh duh! Didn't even think about that.

Must be what it is. I just keep getting anywhere from a quart to half gallon of water from the drain plug every time I pull the boat out. Just trying to narrow stuff down.

Thanks!!

Transducer...

Yes, that is your transducer. It is suppose to be there.

The water you get from the boat when you pull from the water can be normal. During operation, a little water may seep in from your thru hull fitting. Where the shaft passes thru the hull, there is a seal that will leak a bit of water to keep cool. You should also have an auto bilge that keeps it all dry. When you come up on a trailer though, your boat is more inclined than in the water, so you'll have the water that was only 1/4" on the bottom of the boat, collect in back at your plugs....

So is this a different set up than the GTX Limited? It's the same engine, just one of them. I'm asking because I have had a GTX limited for about 2 1/2 years and I have ever had more than a couple of ounces of water out of the drain plug at the end of the day.
