Is one 951 manifold is a better design?

That makes good sense too. I would imagine BRP really only cares about these machine in the their first 3-5 years. Especially when they are under warranty. So maybe its possible that as these aged, they just ran out of the parts. Rather than make it unavailable & loose sales they went to the original design to keep the cash coming?

On a side note, Nearly all of the used ones I have looked at have had traces of med strength loctite in the bolt taps. So, it would appear that's what I will do. I can't find any reason not to use it except from the info in the manual.


Here's your answer--kinda, all the screws come with thread locker on the screws. We get stuff like this when we do a field kit on equipment from the MFG. I know you were a bit more in depth on one of your threads about the topic but I couldn't find it quickly.

You Nailed it again!

I looked up the replacement bolt & look how it comes in the bag...

It's interesting though, because the manual makes no reference to replacing the bolts (one time use)
If that was the case, I could see them not mentioning applying loctite.
Just one of those missed details I guess.
