How do I know if my oil pump is working. I bought my 96 sp from people who didnt know anything about the jetski. When I lifted the compartment box it had a quart of twc-3 oil in it with a measuring cup, I thought that odd but now I wonder if the oil pump has been working. If not what ratio do I use for mixing oil to gas?

You have oil injection. No need to mix. On thing is I advise you to replace the two small (1/8") oil lines immediatly. After 3-4 years they get brittle, crack & break and
the engine will seize from no lubrication. These two lines go from the injection pump to the two Rotary Valve injector spigots. Please join our premium forum so you can use the library to read the Shop Manual that is SPECIFIC for your ski. Here is a link pic of what I am talking about: item 21 & 22 are the 1/8"ID X 6 1/2" long oil lines:

Thanks Bill, but it looks like one of the hose that comes out of the oil tank goes to a filter and has a metal plug in it and is just sitting to the side. Is this normal?

nope... sounds like the last guy plugged it off. If it has a filter in it... that was the feed line to the pump. (under the carbs)

Other person/owner probly went pre-mix, backyard mechanic style. Is the injection pump on the lower rotary valve cover under carbs? He may have found "wheres this oil coming from" .....dunno.....? Please investigate.

found some paper work with some work that was done previously to the ski. It says oil pump block off twice. $15.00 each time. Seeing that I guess I need to know how much oil to add to the fuel tank and what type. I will repost this as a new question.
