intermittent vibration at idle speed

Hi. I'm a double newbie. Just traded for a 1995 GTS (my first pwc) and new here also. I have a slight on and off vibration while at idle speed. I don't sense that it gets worse or faster during acceleration. There is vibration more than not. I have no maintenance records. It runs good at all levels of acceleration. I also have an intermittent gas gauge. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I am looking for some suggestions about the problems. I think I can do most repairs but time is an issue. All responses welcome. Thanks.

Vibration can be tough to pin point. You could have a bent shaft... but that would normally get worse when you rev it up. Most likely, you have a bent impeller, or a torn motor mount.

Just check over things, and make sure every thing is lubed as it should be.


As far as an intermittent fuel gauge. Check for loose or dirty wires, but it could be that the gauge is going bad.
