Initial high speed screw setting on 951 BN46 carbs

What is the initial setting for the high speed screw on the BN46 carbs? When I disassembled the carbs for rebuild, it was screwed tight.

The Low speed screw shows an initial setting of 1 1/2 turns in the shop manual, but there is no detail about the high speed screw.

Yes, there is a setting in the shop manual for the high speed screw, unless your using a Clymer. All Mikuni carbs on our Seadoo's have the high speed screw set at "0", or closed. Unlike the low speed screw, which has a direct relation to running your motor smoothly on the bottom end and through transition, the high speed is no more than a bypass around your high speed jet. So, the only time you might open it is if your modding your motor and leaning out on top end. You can use that bypass until you realize that by modding, increasing your fuel use, you'll need to re-jet the carb.

Perfect, thanks! I did find it in the back of the shop manual specifications, but it was not in the chapter alongside the low speed adjustor info.

My carbs were FILTHY!! OMG...no wonder the boat was running like crap. All new carb parts, needle and seat, and its all cleaned up and idling at 3k.

Ready for the wet test!

What do you think of these parts that were inside my carb....any idea on what caused the discoloration?

Is that rust?
If so, then I would think there was water in gas tank for quite a while.
IDK much about carbs but wouldn't water get mixed with the gas and get burned off????? unless there is alot???
