Will it be an issue at all if I install an in-line fuel filter before the carbs on a pre-mix setup?

Ya, i had to do something to keep from taking the carbs off ever month. i was just a bit worried about the oil. the dealership told me to definetely not do this as it will cause the motor to run lean on oil, but I don't think the filter will restrict or catch the oiul. it should be thin enough to pass.

Nester,
What kind of filter are we talking about.
I do not believe the screen type filter that is on a Seadoo will out filter oil.
I just ran my first tank through my GTX after installing a new engine and it was premix, no problem.

The extra filter won't bother the premix. The oil is so diluted that it is part of the fuel and shouldn't be a concern. Just be sure you keep it clean and back flow the filter when you clean it, about every month so it won't be full of impurities that could starve the engine if it gets really dirty.
