Hi guys. Can I just remove the oil pump cable to run pre mix or do if have to remove the whole rv cover assembly and remove the drive wheel?

Just my opinion but don't do it. The Sea Doo oil pump system is highly reliable! Just need to change the hoses out every couple years.

I’m changing from the corroded dual carbs to a brand new later model single carb and it doesn’t have the mount for the cable. Looking to make something up down the track. If someone has a photo of how the cable is mounted on a later model gti that would be helpful!

Need to attach the oiling cable to the carb here but there is no bracket. Has anyone got a photo of their setup?

Hi,

So here's the neat thing about the oil injection pump- It varies with the throttle so that at full throttle it sends more oil.

To get this wide open throttle mixture we would need to mix a very oily mix, which would likely smoke and foul plugs at low speeds.

Old timers say they've never seen a bad oil pump in 20 plus years. That's a statement.

For the record i like to pour a whisker of 2 stroke oil in my tank anyway...just because i want all the smoke! Lol

Good luck!

You need the newer short cable. It mounts in that big brass nut on your picture and goes directly to the oil pump.
