Is the one I have for my 08 4tec pump interchangeable with the 02 GTX DI pump?

I don't think so, SBT sells one for a 4-tec and a different tool for the 2-stroke, the good news the 2-stroke tool is cheap.

Didn't think it was. I have to do a wear ring swap on my buddies GTX. I'll order one along with the wear ring for him. They're like $10 off eBay so no biggie.

Does the freezer trick work on plastic pump housings too or just the aluminum?

Well I've not had any luck, removing the wear ring using the freezer method with any pump. The wear rings do go in a little easier. One trick I have learned is to use a multitool instead of a sawzall for removing the wear ring. I just have a cheap one from Harbor Freight.

I see. I've always been label to freeze my aluminum pump and the ring just fell out every time. Takes about an hr.

Actually I've never tried it with a plastic pump, it's worth a try. My pumps are bronze.
