Can you run a ski (96xp) temporarily without a nose cone seal? Have a new one ordered but vendor is taking forever to ship.

Thanks,

Lance

Nope, that said you might try to find one close to the same size. Try somewhere that works on automotive air conditioners or transmissions.

I wouldn't do it, if you lose all the oil then you ruin the pump bearing. You "might" be able to buy an o-ring at your local hardware store....bring the cone with you for exact measurements.

Have you tried another shop for this seal?

EDIT******
Lou beat me to it as I was typing.

It makes zero difference guys. The only issue is the DS rusting in the impeller. Just put a blob of grease in there.

Water will not get into the pump.

I have many in stock and can ship the same day....chit I keep ALL high wear OEM parts in stock; connectors...even connector removal tools!

I think I must be using the incorrect terminology, the seal I'm refering to is the little cone shaped seal that presses in the impeller and seals on the driveshaft. Minnetonka, I always use Jess for my parts when you can find him, I just live 4 of 5 miles from him. By the way you guys do a great job.

Thanks for the help,

Lance

O.K. Nick is correct, I thought you were talking about the "O" ring that goes on the nose cone.
