Billet cap to balance out that billet fuel knob on the other side.

I was towing a ski back and it started blowing steam out of the pisser. It handled a little better but not just right yet. There are little bubbles in my oil lines. I've got some work to do.

I'm fighting back against these issues. I swapped out the oiler with another good looking used one. Hopefully the bubbles stop showing up in my 3/32" oil lines. I pressure tested the pipe chamber and it's fine so I put a brass restrictor in the outlet fitting. I have a 3/8" line on my 1/2" water exit line so I guess I was not maintaining enough water pressure to keep the system filled.

My needle and seats are leaking so I'm going to put new 1.5's in, guess I was being cheap before since they were holding. I also want to put a electric bilge pump in because it might come in handy someday.

It handled better but still not perfect. I might swap out the cut down R&D trim tabs with these SRE carbon fiber ones because they are about stock size and I don't seem to need any help keeping the nose down.

I've put in the new 1.5 needle and seats and set both carbs to 31 psi. My linkage between the carbs was way off so I synched them up and it sounds a lot better. The temps are balanced out on the egt gauge as well.

After blowing black exhaust soot all over my Solas pump I decided to put a black plastic RFI pump in there. I know these work well so I put a new OEM wear ring in it from Westside Powersports (Minnetonka4me). The impeller is from a GSX but I used GTX RFI nozzles since I'm not running VTS. I also popped in the new tank vent grommet from Westside.

I hit it with a bilge pump. I want to be able to leave it floating over a long weekend or just have a way to pump water out if a rock strike punctured the hull. There was already a hole where I put the outlet location(3/4" black billet 45) I just made it larger. The switch has a green LED light in the tip, I'm pretty happy with it.

The hydro turf on the sides looks really good. Do you have to sand the areas where you put turf?

Hell yeah Matt your builds are awesome bc you arent worried about making anything what everyone says is the "whatever". People crapped all over the R&D pipe and I ran it anyways...and was surprised at its performance. Im interested in the story on the pipe...ive def never even heard of it. I also like the solas pump and nozzles...what do you think there?

Thanks for the decal rep! Ive got more manual trims and exhaust hoses in stock! Oh wait 98... ;)

Good to hear from you Nick. Yeah I've seen a couple simple looking ads in the old mags advertising this pipe. Some guy named Dave made them and there is one old SBT post about a racer doing good with it. That could always just be a talented rider though. The ads says "don't even need an aftermarket rev limiter" so that tells me it does not rev out like others do.

I wanted to try it though because I have a lot of coin in it. It wouldn't pressure test so I sent it out to a repair guy. When he dug into it we realized that it had a pre-sized hole drilled into the inner chamber to wet the stinger. Since I was already out the money I had it built back where the stinger had it's own separate area so I can try different restriction jets.

The Solas stuff seems to work fine. I didn't hammer on it too much because I was still breaking it in. Now I'm working that RFI setup and it seems fine also. I've been throwing timing around and the temps are actually lower with it fully advanced. I saw it hit 7100 though and now it won't hit it so I will keep tuning until I get her dialed.

I bought some Outer Wears to go over those Tau Ceti FA's. I also installed an electric bilge with a black billet outlet since she started taking on some water when floating overnight.
