Hello all, earlier this evening I was doing final checks over my ‘97 gts before it’s first trip on the water in my ownership, and frankly my first time driving or riding on a ski. Plan on taking it out tomorrow afternoon but now I am not sure.
I noticed a pool of oil on the black engine cradle right under the exhaust on the port side of the ski. Took some pics with my phone and determined that the oil return line (to sensor on top of tank) is rotted. Maybe this was my problem all along and not the damn tank grommet ...
my question is... do I need to lift up the motor or remove any motor mounts like I have read on some forums? Can’t seem to find any info for the 717 motor.
