Is there a special tool for this? The service manual just says "disconnect the hose" with no mention of how. I tried squeezing the sides with no luck, and I don't want to start sticking screwdrivers in there to pry it apart without knowing what I'm doing, for fear of breaking it.
Thanks in advance!

If you're talking about the normal automotive quick disconnect removal tools, I have a set of those but they don't work for this fitting. As seen on this Jaguar Forum, it takes a special tool, so I figured Sea-Doo would have their own part number for that tool.

Yes I was talking about the normal push lock removal tool which I now see is not what that is. Good luck with that one, I could not find a “Norma” disconnect tool anywhere on the web. Probably try the two screw driver method.

Don't use screwdrivers, you will ruin it. No tool for that needed. Squeeze the front and back sides in your picture on the left side of the ring which will oval it and make the 2 tabs on top and bottom have less grab. It will take some wiggling and one side will come unhooked. Keep squeezing and working it and you will get the other side and it will slide off easily. You will get a squirt of fuel since it is under pressure but no big deal. Takes about 3 seconds but I've done hundreds of them.

Gotcha... that's what I figured the procedure was, but with all my squeezing and working it I could only manage to get one side to barely come unhooked. Thanks for confirming, I'll just keep trying!
