how to drain 2 stroke oil

okay i asked this a few months back and of course i FORGOT, so ill ask again lol i want to get this done before next season .... im all out of the rotax 2 stroke oil ... i bought the new oil but i dont want to take the chance of them not mixing, i know how to drain the oil tank.... what else do i have to drain to make sure i dont blow up my motor ??

You have to drain the rotary valve reservoir. There is one oil line under the carb intake assembly. Pull line and let gravity pull into cup.

my carbs are already off so i should just follow the line from the oil res to the block and take the line off ... do i have to do anything to get the oil out of the block

Which oil exactly did you have before and what are you switching to. They are somewhat compatible.

Went from bombardier rotax formulaxps to quick silver pwc API-tc the one that says on the bottle specifically for seadoo watercraft

Couldn't find the rotax anywhere and the guy from west marine says itll mix no problem but who's to say they didn't pick this guy up off the street and slapped a sales associate badge on him

I switched from XPS to Quicksilver PWC without changing it out. If they are both full synthetic, it wont cause a problem. Let the tank get as low as possible, then add the quicksilver.

I used a siphon pump to pull it out on my ski when i changed the oil... or you can pull the line and let it drip out out into a cup...not much in there maybe 2 ounces.

get a small cup / glass. put in some XPS, then some of the new. shake (don't stir ). let sit a few hours / days... report findings.

trust me, if they are both full synthetic, it wont hurt it. When I bought my boat the previous owner used XPS blended. I let it get to the bottom then added XPS full synthetic. When that tank got low, I switched to Quicksilver PWC full synthetic. About 7 gallons of oil and 3 years later, all is good. I am anal and do more maintenance than required. I change the oil filters yearly and clean the RAVE valves yearly. It all looks brand new still. I can cut an oil filter open in the spring and show you.

on a boat u can drain oil right through dipstick tube, works on oil, gas, coolant, brake fluid, etc . etc.
