how can I check to see if the crank and carbs are getting oil?
also there is no return line for the oil tank should their be? and does the line that comes from the block by the starter to the pulse line in the carbs supply oil for the gas?

Review your year diagram for oil routing, the pulse line does not carry any oil or fuel. There are 2 1/8 plastic tubes that carry the oil to each sprayer on the 787 rv cover, the 951 uses a reed plate and I have seen the lines at the pump but not sure exactly how they go into the reed body, those small lines are the oil delivery.

Also known as The Great Porsche 951 Rebuild. Please Note: I sold this ... The really bad news is that NEW oil pumps for a 951 run about $500, and I have to get one ...

You don't have a rotary valve to worry about... go pre-mix, and save the $500.

Not to thread jack, but to pre mix a 951 do you just block it off and go? Ive only ever done it on a 587 where you had to maintain a rotary valve bath.
