How often do you guys clean your rave valves ?

How many hours of run time do you guys clean them on the 800?

I clean mine each fall when I winterize them.

just cleaned mine, and i would say i had about 30 hrs on it. had one leaking, o-right was hard as a rock..

Same here, annually when I winterize. Maybe 25-30 hours.

I went 25 hrs between cleanings and mine were still pretty good. I guess a lot depends on the oil you're using. I've only used XPS II. Keeps 'em pretty clean.

While I think its a good idea to clean them, I had a 97 XP that the paint was still unbroken on the raves. the ski was already 15 years old, but probably under 75 hours. The valves were very dirty, but still slid very smooth. the owner ran XPSII from day 1. Oil makes a big difference on valve condition IMO
