Engine alignment tool

If you had the motor loose, you are supposed to use an engine alignment tool. You remove your pump, mount the tool and align the motor (using SS shims) to the alignment tool. Some put the shims back like they came off and use a good eye to get the best alignment possible.

You can rent the tool for about half the cost of buying.

Not exactly sure what your asking, but there is a shaft alignment tool for aligning it.

a little more to the story,
i bought this seadoo 97 xp, i was told the wear ring, bearings, pump, bushings, all the drive components were done, it all looked new, but whoever did the work did not use lock tite. so now the alumininum lock bushing, the 2 - 6 hole bushing holder does not lock in the bushing, AND it is not lined up anymore, do you think a broom handle or or something like that would work?
looking for any alternative or suggestions, thanks in advance :bigear:
