How do I trouble shoot MPEM problems?

I have a 1997 GSI and it died in the middle of the lake, have checked the DESS system with meter, repalced start/stop switch and also the solenoid. Will not turnover, getting no peeps when putting the lanyard on the switch, unplugged the MPEM box and plugged it back in and got some faint peeping from it and still will not turn over. Fuse was blown for the MPEM at the beginning but is OK now...is there a test to see if I have a blown diode as I've read this may be the problem?

you can check the amp connectors for corrosion via mpem and if that fails then contact tonka.
