Hello! New member here. Have a 1997 GSI that someone installed battery backwards, and then hit it with a boost pack!! Needless to say, pretty sure the MPEM is toast. Replaced 2 fuses. Don't get any beeps when putting the key on. Get 1 beep only when plugging the harness into the mpem, or completing the circuit on the battery. From what I see, this mpem is non existent, it's the 2 plug one. My question is, can I get the 1 plug mpem that's all over the internet and use that?

The best option would be to get a used MPEM, the aftermarket units are hit and miss...I have only seen a few that have got them working, most don't. I think the ones that work are on the less sophisticated older skis....just my opinion.
There is a company on here that tests and has a few used MPEMs in stock, but I cant remember who they are. Hopefully someone will chime in.
One other thing, if you get the OEM MPEM used you have to have the key matched to it (security system), that takes someone with the software system.

I have literally spent hrs on the internet, can't find the dual plug unit, 278-001-029. If someone knows if I can send this somewhere to be tested, that would be great!
I have bought several MPEM from OSDparts.com.
They don't have the 2 plug unit.
What is this Zeel?
