My friend and I just bought two used jet skis, one is a 1995 Sea-Doo gtx and the other is a '95 Sea-Doo xp. The problem we're having is 2-stroke oil pouring out of the exhaust, both are doing it, though more seems to be coming out of the gtx. There's also a lot of white smoke. The guy that we bought them from had them stored at a fairly severe angle, the front of the skis were quite high. Could the improper storage of the skis have caused 2-stroke oil to drain and pool into the exhaust and now it's just dumping out after we start it, or is it something else. Any helpful advise I could get I would really appreciate, thank you

on older SeaDoo engine, the crank seals, and rotary valve seals leak, and if they have been sitting for any length of time, they will puke out some oil, and smoke a lot.

Once you ride them for a few minutes... it will clear out, and normally the issue won't return until they sit over the winter.

Update

Thanks for your help, both of you. A quick update to the problem... with the xp it's clearly coming from the exhaust port. The gtx though, were no longer sure that it is coming from the exhaust port, the smoke is no longer as bad, which is good, but yesterday we pulled the exhaust off the gtx put a rag under the port inside the engine compartment to help soak up any oil that might dump out but there wasn't any oil. we also didn't have much leaking out the back end until we reconnected the exhaust and fired the ski back up. There's no oil coming from the jet pump cone, but is there something else that could be leaking down there?

Is there any old oily bilge water in the bottom of the ski?
The only oil is either from the engine or jet pump. Your oil injector could also be stuck, putting more oil in the engine than nessessary.
