HELP!!! Impeller shaft removal

I am replacing the wear ring and have the pump off but the shaft came out with it. How do I get the shaft off so I can get to the impeller?

Please help - I am right in the middle of this repair!!

Take a vise grip and put it on the shaft nice and tight.. Then take a hammer and lightly tape on the vise grip. you want to be tapping away from the impeller.. It's just a little frozen in place from being in there for so long.. Be sure to put the vise grip somplace in the middle where it is rusty..Not on the end where in seals in the hull..

Thanks - I was actually able to just give it a good tug and it came out.
