If your carbon ring is worn can l it cause a vibration in the drive shaft ? I believe mine may be worn out even though no water is coming in i can feel the ski vibrating. i noticed that i have a significant amount of play on the front of my bellow where the carbon ring is located . Is this normal ?

Mate... Mine was completely stuffed.... I took off my jet pump removed the drive shaft hack sawed off the old carbon ring flush with the body... Ordered a new aluminium body ring and carrier bearing and below.... Bo ya... After a adjustment of the engine to line up the drive shaft... Perfect mate... Message if you need anything.... Cheers...
