Hey guys, so cool that this is here, I love al the posts, and really learning a lot!
So here is my story. I found a seized motor xp on e-bay for about 350.00 and I am going to buy it. I know it needs a new motor, but what else should I do? I figure while I am ripping the old one out (which by the way looks like it was partly done, btw... does anyone have a head pipe for the 97' 787 with all bolts, and etc that is needed?? I would appreciate a pm on this with price) . I am wanting or hoping I can get some other pesky annoyances out of the way while at it. Since this is going to be open heart surgery, what other preventative checks and maintenance should I be performing? I know I need a starter as well. Obviously any filters, lines, and hoses that are ugly will be replaced too.... But is there anything that really is a "oh, man, why didn't I or I should have" that you can think of? I see these for sale for $1600.00 and I like peace of mind, and a job well done, and I can have both for about that with a new engine, and what appears to be a great unit from all of your posts. Tkx all! :willy_nilly:
Thanks guys!
