Please help  any of you that work on these PWC's. This ski was left in the Colorado River tied up at the dock at her house. The pump looks like something that was recovered from the Titanic shaft is rusted and the bearing are loose in the grease cap some are many pieces. Also one spark plug that looks like it was hit by a hammer, ground strap flattened into the electrode. A friend said at least I will need the alignment tool kit for when I put it back together but that’s down the road right now I just need to strip it down and order parts and all I need.

I have the impeller tool only for my 2004 Sportster 4-tec boat.
I'm gong to need;
1. a good source for factory seadoo parts and or good aftermarket pistons and such Mahle?
2. Also a list of tools that I will need and where to buy them so I can strip this thing and fix it.
3. Anyone out there with good used engine and pump? If not are there good sites that sell insurance company pay out crash damaged machines that I could buy for parts.

Thanks

rcts - Welcome to the forum.

At the top you'll see "PARTS" that's a good place to start looking.
Also Minnetonka4me and his brother 99spxxx sells spare parts along with a few other people.
Does your boat and ski have the same engine?

Good luck. it should be a awesome ski once it's running.

If it was me, i would scrap the engine and buy a remanufactured one in which you ship yours as a core. Will run you about 1800 to 2200 depending on which engine you choose. Then I would just buy a complete pump housing used off ebay for under $500. So for about $2500 you are in good shape and like new. Cant beat that for paying $200 for the ski.

Ok thanks for that thought, I might go that route, only thing is I love working on engines have a lot of experience more than "30 years" with race engines for cars and so on, so I'm kinda looking for a fun build, if the block is toast or the head, then this will be the best way to go, exchange.

I will look for the tools and so on, I was hoping you had a parts vendor that was authorized for factory parts and tools.

Thank you RFoster130.

rcts - If you like rebuilding then it's worth a try until you see what condition the jugs/block/crank etc are in. I hope they are rebuildable.

Rich - I thought I caught you what you thought I did in another post....

But then you changed from "how much did you pay?" to the correct amount of $200 as typed in title, very quickly afterwards
See ya and Merry Christmas. I take it you're not working today...how about on Christmas day?

On holidays till end of Jan, have time to fiddle with this. Yes I paid 200 bucks for it! Merry Christmas to you as well. I need tools hope somebody posts where the best place to buy them is? Reg
