It's been a boring winter with no project....though I look daily. Two weeks ago I found a 94 SPX that a local guy had stored in a barn and for $200 (no trailer) decided to save it. Cosmetically and electronically it's fine but like most of my rebuilds the motor is toast. Fortunately, like most, I have acquired a surplus of parts that should keep my expenses low.
I know it's not a highly desirable ski with the 657 motor but if one of the kid's friends can scoot along what the heck.

i have this same ski picked it up for 600 with a trailer and i didnt do any thing to it but new fuel lines and clean the carbs and this thing is the shit lol. not the fastest thing but it makes a good all around ski for people. My son and i will take 30 joy rides on it all the time. I have always thought about building it up a little, it seems that after market parts are next to nothing for them..

Shoulda kept the 97 SPX :p

Love, love those skis. My first skis were a matched pair of these skis. Wish I still had them. They were great. Nice snag!

Dang Dan your archive/memory continues to amaze me! The 97 was a nice score for $600. At the time I thought I didn't want or need 3 ski's plus the wife gave me hell stating the garage and yard was looking like a trailer park - lol! Oh well, I did more than double my $ with little effort - just a bath and a quick buff.

Shoulda kept the 97 SPX :p

Looks exactly like one I had so many years ago, it's been so long can't recall if 95 or 94 must be 94... Loved that thing, it did a great job of keeping up with the "high performance" skis of the time and ALWAYS ran like a top.

Looking back, never should've let it go but hey with way too many toys the place began looking like a trailer park (kidding, ha, ha!).

Hey Kevin. How's the new ski been? Someday I'll get a new once the youngest is finished with college :).

hey rob, it's been a while, last summer was a blast! not a single issue, lol. only have 8 hours on the clock, but really looking forward to another fun filled summer for sure. what ever became of the 95 xp?

Still have the 95. Didn't get much time on it last summer other than getting broke in. Wife and I mainly took out the RFI. Need to get some hours on that new ski :)
