I purchased an 04’ GTX from a guy who left it in the water and unfortunately it’s calcified so bad that it needed to be taken apart to clean up. I have everything ready to go back together but I'd like to know if there are any specific guidelines to re-installing and re-sealing the riding plate. I have the diagram for where to put the sealant but as much work as it was to get off, I'd like to do it right the first time, really don't want to do it twice. :)
Thanks a lot.

Good question....

I don't know of any surprises that you'd need to look for. Taking if off verses uses an acid to cut the calcuim may have been a better idea but hey, you got it done.

I'd say, 100% silicone is always a good way to go when in doubt. Just make sure all your parts are really clean before applying.......
