Need to replace the steering cable on my 2001 GTX RFI. Looked it up on the parts micro fiche and I get a OEM number of 277001323 which superseded 277001009. But when I look at parts suppliers that number states 99-00 GTX RFI/DI and a 2004 RXP. Will it still work on my 2001. Is there any distinguishable difference between a 99-00 and a 2001? I'm shocked that there's even a RFI/DI specific cable. Because the GTX and GTI carb models call for a different one. I would've thought they should be the same for all the similar year 3 seater hulls. Thoughts?
