So I changed my oil today and Have a leak coming from oil filter. (screw)
The O-Rings look good but I was wondering which way does the filter go in
A= rubber goes up
B= rubber goes down

everything was going good until i took it for a ride then checked and noticed oil around engine compartment and screw of the oil filter. I would say I lost a 1/4 since the guy gave me 3 quarts and it is only at min. level.

Is there any other oils I can use on the supercharge engine. 12bucks a qt is a bit steep since i like to change frequently.
Thanks Greg

The filter should be able to go in either way. Do you have an oem filter? there should be a rubber seal on both ends. The bottom seals around the oil inlet, & the top seals around the cap. Do you have a puddle of oil around the retaining screw in the cap? If so, I would suspect you have a problem with the o-ring on the filter screw. If thats dry, Then you might have pinched the o-ring on the cap. Should be easy to diagnose if its leaking from the filter area.

As far as oil, other guys here can fill you in. From what I have learned with the SC engines, the oil is pretty critical as its exposed to much higher heat than the N/A engines.

Is it easy to replace the o-rings
The cap is on tight and I still can see the o-ring on the side. I have to check the o-ring on the screw, not sure how to replace that since the screw is connect to the long drive piece with a nut on the bottom

The oil rings should have been noticeable while changing the filter. The o-ring that seals the cap to the housing should be positioned in a groove on the cap. The smaller o-ring will be around the top of the securing screw. be sure to apply some oil on them when putting it together, don't put it together dry. The service manual recommends you change both o-rings with the oil change. However, I am guessing many have re-used them if they are in good shape. It sounds like maybe your larger o-ring is not it the groove where it belongs, or was possibly damaged.

Pop the cover back off & take a peek.
