Its a GTi w/717. There is really no performance gains from those except a intake grate and impeller change but those only help with you riding style or conditions. 717 are very reliable that is why people buy them and they are easy to maintain. Those are not made for speed.. To me it looks great give a look over in the fuel system and oil system and go riding.

Thanks howie, i don't know much about ski, is my first one, another question if u can help me, what about swap an engine it's really hard, Need change all harness too right? For example if a finf a 787 engine

You need swap a lot pretty much everything but the hull. I would just sell and buy a larger engine one of that is what you want.

Just a note on the impeller. Many feel they can add an impeller and gain speed. Well,,,, this is true, but at a cost.

If you get a higher speed impeller, you will lose the low end performance. And, if you get a low end (for power and pulling), you will lose top end speed. There are a few that will help in all fields such as specific Skat Trac impellers. They help out in the low end, mid range performance, and SOMETIMES a minor top end increase.

With the intakes, somewhat of the same issue. If you install a "Top Loader" (Throws water into the top of the tunnel) it will give the impeller more water, which does improve things. BUT,,, again at a cost. The hook that throws the water up top causes drag. In choppy water, this is not an issue. On smooth water, the drag is substantial enough that you can loose performance. They will help with maneuverability and turns though..

In a nut shell, unless you can get more out of the engine, adding modifications may not help. The Skat will simply as it gives you a bit more performance within your normal range. A cold air intake should help as well.

Clear as mud?

I have the same ski but 1 year older and I like the 717. The 787 would be since if it's carbed but you like 10mph you might get I am fine. Its a 3 seater all the larger engine does is goes faster.
