Hi all,

Looking at buying a 2009 gti 130 with 99 hours on the clock. Wanting to do a compression test to make sure everything is in good working order.

How do i go about grounding the plug leads?

Any help would be great. Cheers

If there are no grounding tabs flop them outside of the hull.

The spark is not suppose to happen when you crank the engine with full throttle. This is suppose to turn off the ignition and injection.

There are no grounding lugs on 4tecs. When checking compression on 4tecs, hold the throttle wide open which is called "drown mode" which is a terrible name. It actually cuts out the spark and does not inject fuel. You can just let the coil packs lay or unplug them and set aside if you like.
